Loken Construction was a great match for us! They were referred by our architect, so we didn’t question the recommendation. And we didn’t need to. Their craftsmanship is above reproach. Communications were good. They treated each other and us with courtesy. Our first project was very substantial. Every room in the house was affected. We added an elevator, joined a couple of rooms together, altered a “bonus” space into four separate rooms, and we added a pantry — an extensive list! During the project, the crew discovered serious flaws in construction that required immediate attention. And if that wasn’t enough, this was during COVID, so there were lots of obstacles with permitting, subcontractor availability, and supplies. Our second project was a new studio building in our backyard. I only wish they could have built in a way for me to spend more time in it!
Since our big projects, we have called them back for several little things. Little, that is, like removing a deck and changing a couple of sliders to a wall with windows.We will patronize Loken as long as they continue to take our phone calls.

My family has transitioned through 4 different homes in Washington state since 1987, 3 in Seattle. All these homes required construction projects. I speak from experience when I highly recommend Loken Construction. Winter of 2023, we completed a town home remodel with Loken and William Zimmerman Architects that included a kitchen remodel and the addition of an elevator to the existing interior footprint. Loken is extremely capable of working with high standards from the homeowner and the architect. Their problem solving skills and patience, clearly shows respect for the customer’s investment and desired outcome. Keeping in mind that construction: painting, cabinets, woodwork, stone work, etc, are all hands on crafts, our result is as close to perfect as possible. We are thrilled with Loken Construction.

We just finished a full house remodel with Loken Construction, who came highly recommended to us by our architect. Every time we talk about the project with our friends and family it’s impossible not to mention what professionals everyone at Loken has been. My husband and our neighbor watched their team place a beam at our in-law’s house, and were amazed at the level of care they took in the process.The quality of their work is top notch, replies to any phone calls or emails were always prompt and helpful, and everything they said they would do was done well and on time. We were told the project would be completed in 10 months; we moved out in March, and were back in the house by January of the following year. Their crew was available to help us with the move in and move out process as well which was incredibly helpful.Now that we have been in the house just over six months, they’re still responsive any time we have an issue and have someone out to fix it within a couple days. The instant somebody mentions they’re thinking about a remodel project I immediately recommend the folks at Loken. You definitely shouldn’t pass on an opportunity to hire them for your project.

We had Loken Construction do an outdoor remodel on our Ballard Bungalow this fall and winter, adding a terrace in front and new deck in back. We could not be more pleased with the results.
